Advantage as fastest growing of the shelterbelt evergreens i.e.: should reach eight ft in five years with regular watering. Branches widely spaced apart compared to white and blue spruce so Pine does not afford the same level of privacy and solid windbreak as does spruce . Caution: do not plant pine where you have resident deer as deer love to eat pine but rarely eat spruce.
