Fall Planting Innovation
Since pioneering fall shelterbelt planting in 2000, we continue to see the benefits of fall planting, especially for species like poplar. This method helps trees access early spring moisture, often resulting in stronger growth. Our mid-October 2022 plantings have grown to heights of 18–48 inches by August 2023, outpacing spring-planted seedlings. We recommend fall planting from October 1 to early November for optimal results.

Sapling Sales & New Varieties
We’ve expanded our sapling nursery from 10,000 to 20,000 saplings, including varieties like Okanese and Tristis Poplar, Golden, Silverleaf, and Laurel Leaf Willow, plus potted Scot's Pine and White Spruce. Our larger saplings, averaging 4-5 feet in height, are perfect for fall planting in October or late spring in April/May. Due to high demand, we’re rapidly expanding our sapling offerings!

Shelterbelt Installation Services
HELP International offers complete shelterbelt planting services, including tree planting, plastic mulch, grass seeding, and drip irrigation across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta. We can install up to 4,000 meters of shelterbelt per day, bringing all necessary equipment, including trees, mulch, and irrigation supplies. Ask for a quote for fall or spring planting!

Drip Irrigation Sales
We now offer DIY drip irrigation systems for farms and acreage owners, with pre-designed packages for 100m to 500m tree rows. Our systems are cost-effective, easy to install, and come with step-by-step instructions and video guidance.

Affordable Tree Pricing
Despite a slight price increase, HELP International continues to offer some of the most competitive prices in Canada. For example, our caragana and lilac are priced significantly lower than national competitors. We maintain a uniform pricing system for all our seedlings, keeping costs affordable for our customers.

Innovations in Planting Practices
We’ve introduced new planting techniques, such as the 10-inch toothpick method and the innovative plastic mulch system that increases tree growth while reducing drought stress. These methods have led to higher survival rates and faster growth, with photo documentation available upon request.

Pre-positioning Tree Stocks & Supplies
We stay ahead of demand by pre-positioning tree stocks and supplies a year in advance, ensuring our customers have access to tough, hardy trees. This proactive approach helps us avoid supply chain issues and keep costs stable. We also offer two-year-old seedlings at the price of one-year-olds for many varieties, providing larger, more resilient trees.

    • Or specify a date for either pick-up or shipping under 'Schedule Pick-Up.'
  3. Important: If you're picking up your order, do NOT enter shipping information to avoid being charged for shipping.
  4. Uber-like Services: If you're picking up trees and offering to deliver other customers' orders, please indicate the route you'll be taking from Weyburn to your home location in the "Notes to Vendor" section. This helps us track which customers are on your route.

Bonus Offer:

A Quick Note About HELP International
HELP International is a federally incorporated non-profit organization and a registered charity. As part of our mission, we operate with the support of dedicated volunteer forestry interns and apprentices from North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. In addition, we are expanding our team by integrating several permanent nursery and forestry workers to help strengthen our operations and continue our important work in environmental stewardship.

Tree Order and Refund Policies
  1. Order Fulfillment: Trees are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. Shipping: Each customer's order will be packaged separately for shipping to ensure accurate delivery.
  3. Order Cancellations: Customers who wish to cancel their order after payment will receive a 90% refund. The remaining 10% is retained by HELP International to cover costs for website marketing, financial processing (via Stripe), and sales administration.
If you have any questions not covered in the "Frequently Asked Questions" or "Technical Tree Information" sections of our website, feel free to call the HELP office at (306) 861-0814. We kindly ask that customers limit phone consultations to 30 minutes per customer to ensure we can assist all inquiries promptly, as HELP is a mix of professional staff and volunteers.

Policy on Non-Viable Trees
  1. Extra Trees for Losses: HELP International automatically includes an additional 5% of trees in each order, free of charge, to compensate for early tree losses during establishment.
  2. Replacement Trees: If your trees need replacement, HELP will provide additional trees at the preferred rate of $2.50 per seedling within 18 months of planting, provided the trees were ordered as replants. This applies even if the number of replacement trees is less than 300.
  3. Non-Viable Species: If an entire batch of a specific tree species is found to be non-viable, HELP will not distribute that variety. We will contact affected customers to arrange a substitution.
  4. Large-Scale Issues: If ten or more clients report that an entire variety of trees has failed to establish (after ruling out care issues, pests, diseases, extreme weather, or other local conditions), HELP will replace or substitute those trees with an equal number, ideally within the year but as soon as possible.
